私は描写を超越した暗示力をより好むのです。写真は私にとって世界を転写することではありません。私はそこに見えるものを正確にコピーすることには興味がないのです。写真の最も強い要素の一つは世界の一部を記録することですが、同時にそれぞれの写真家の美的センスと統合させることでもあるのです。その結果が解釈であり、この解釈こそが興味深いと私は思うのですが、主題がそれぞれの人々の心のフィルターを通過することで違う状態で出現したとき、それはもはや何かの複写や記録ではなくなっているのです。
